The establishment of this networking arrangement among the pesticide regulatory authorities of ASEAN is to achieve a more uniform control of pesticides in the region. It would allow a means for discussion, identification, prioritization, implementation and resolution of problems related to pesticide management.

• quality of the products would be assured under constant monitoring by all the countries in the region.

Ultimately, with the combination of resources and expertise, member countries would experience a higher standard of management of pesticides; thus minimizing the potential risks of pesticides to health and the environment.
